Discussion:
[mad-user] why is the HQ dsp option unavail? has this not been implemented?

Also, I was wondering if there was such a output plugin that supports
96khz output. I found one, but then again, I want to know if there are
more out there.

Is it possible to make MAD decode at an arbitrary sampling frequency?
ie for slowing down/speeding up the audio stream. I know I could
resample after decode, but if MAD could do it as part of the decoding
process that would be much better (and also would update timers, etc.)?

Thanks for any replies.

While it is possible to tell MAD to decode at a sampling frequency
exactly half of the original, it's not a trivial matter to decode at
any arbitrary sampling frequency; this is not supported.

It's probably best to explicitly resample after decoding.

The HQ DSP option was a contemplated option that never materialized.

I have no idea about this one.
